Located just blocks from the Gutmann Research Laboratory, the CORTEX Innovation Community is a 200-acre hub of bioscience and technology research, development and commercialization. With over 150 resident companies and innovation centers, Cortex is at the forefront of science, technology and entrepreneurship. This unique district opens the door to hundreds of research and technology-based jobs as well as opportunities for industry and biotechnology start-up endeavors.

Innovation centers

The Center for Emerging Technologies (CET) houses a 92,000 square-foot incubator/accelerator facility, offering wet and dry labs, production and office space, and shared equipment, conference rooms and amenities. In this fashion, this center has served as the launch pad for many successful start-ups and is currently home to several new budding ventures.

Formed in 2003, Biogenerator works directly with startup bioscience companies and entrepreneurs to provide support and funding to promising startup companies within the health and plant sciences field.
